General Preparedness Discussion • Re: JANUARY 2017 – What did you do to prep this week/month?

January 19, 2017 kenjabroni 0

I extended my secure chicken run. (its not 100% but its more secure than their free range area). I extended it out 16×24 ft. I bought the 4x4s, concrete and screws, all the other wood was done with 12 ft pallets I scavenge from work. I had chicken wire from my last project so I was able to use it and also used some from the part I had torn down. My first 17 hens should start laying anyday now. Im hoping to be able to integrate my other 11 soon. They are still a couple of months from laying but they are big enough to fend for themselves now. We had all the chickens free ranging and the little eater egg roosters (got 2 when I ordered 1) held their own against the big girls and even ran off one of the big roosters. Next up is to build onto the coop and make it a bit bigger to sustain the 50 we are hoping to eventually have. We cant wait to have fresh eggs and we already have people wanting to buy from us so hopefully we have some good producers.

Welcome Talmek

I was the only person looking at preps for a while in my family too. The wife jumped in and when she did it was amazing. We were a bit prepared before. With her help and approvals on things though we are a lot better off. Although my list of honey dos has gotten bigger its nice because I know shes on board completely. It will get there for you as well. Especially if shes paying attention to the way things are going in the world. Its always a huge deal to involve the kids too. To many of them are walking zombies now a days. Good Luck and welcome

I really do hope that everything goes smoothly and they just blow a lot of hot air during the ceremony. Im not sure that I believe it will turn out peacefully though. Too much happening behind the scenes for everything to be peaceful protests.

Just because people stopped donating to the clinton global initiative and they are shutting it down doesn’t mean they are out of money. It just means the cgi was nothing more than a money laundering system for people to funnel money to the clintons, with the expectation that hillary would become president. When she didn’t, no reason to donate.

Anita we all know this but im surprised lefties havent set up a gofundme page to help the clintons out. We all know they have money stashed and hidden everywhere. They stole so much they dont even remember where its all at. Maybe the new DOJ will investigate any company or organization set up or in big time cahoots with the clintons to figure out where all that money is coming from. Most of it is probably illegal and itd be nice for them to be knocked down a few notches off their high horse…….and to think when I was young and very very stupid I liked BIll. Boy have times changed haha

THAT is absolutely ridiculous BK. How can they come up with that kind of money? and better yet why? I wouldn’t believe it in my rational mind without links, because it just doesn’t make sense. I humbly stand corrected.

On the other hand, we do throw around money in other counties to stir up rebellions with the CIA and other black bag ops… could we be the victim of a larger plot?

My wife said you would sell your soul for a cause you dont even believe in? She was really dumbfounded about the amount of money they can come up with for this. Guess all the nonsense of the professional BLM protesters being paid and showing up around the country to protest makes sense now. Its their job. They get paid to rile up people in places they arent from destroying communities they never had a stake in to begin with. I would really hope that something like this would be an illegal venture though. I just cant see how its legal to keep people on a retainer to go out and cause havoc. We all know that they may preach peacefulness but there will always be the one guy with the temper or the know how to incite others to get violent.

General Preparedness Discussion • Re: Shall we play a game, II?

I am within 3 hours of two big cities. Id be watching it very closely if that were to escalate. Id be getting the truck gassed and loaded and the trailer ready to roll out if need be and head farther west if needed. I dont think I would have to vacate, but I sure as heck wouldnt wait until the last second either. With all these yahoos feeling violated and such the small town I live near wouldnt tolerate the snowflakes. I know there are a couple of them living here, but I doubt theyd stay long in a situation like this.

What if the current idiot in charge has the balls to have some sort of event, say with his troops now stationed in Poland, to put martial law into place Saturday night and suspend the election. I dont think that would happen but he really seems to like the power he has and he thinks hes a sort of god because of all these people worshiping him.

if they are old enough give them marbles and jacks. those can be hour killers. I loved playing both when I had the opportunity. Chinese checkers, Uno, Skip-Bo were some other games I really enjoyed. If it was nice outside though I was out running around doing stuff. If you have any sort of livestock or anything involve them with that. I ask my kids if they like our chickens and they tell me they wish theyd of had them when they were little.
