Radio Shows and Podcasts • 100 day rebellion – LIVE on the Prepping Academy

January 15, 2017 fgarvin 0

LIVE Friday Jan 20th. 9PM EST – http://prepperbroadcasting.com/

Can’t caught us LIVE… caught our podcast at – https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the … 01607?mt=2

Welcome to “The Prepping Academy.” On this week’s show we will be changing up gears. Obviously January 20th is a much anticipated day. President Elect Trump will be sworn in and we will be saying farewell to President Obama. The months and weeks buildin up to this moment have been filled speculation.

Leftist radicals like Michael Moore have been promising to orchestrate a 100 day rebellion against the incoming administration. We’ll be joined by Samuel Culper. Samuel is at the forefront of intelligence gathering for the prepper community. Samuel Culper is a former military intelligence NCO and contract intelligence analyst. He spent three years in Iraq and Afghanistan on intelligence missions, and now runs Forward Observer, a company that provides training and intelligence solutions for SHTF preparedness.
Check out his web site at https://readfomag.com He will be covering the inauguration and giving us updates on any intel coming in regarding protest.

Along with the live updates we’ll discussing what a Trump presidency means for the United States and your prepping for the next four years. There has been a lot of discussions regarding fake news revolving around Trump, a possible mole hunt, and also a very upset intelligence community which could fire back.

We are just two preppers having fun…

General Homesteading Topics • Re: Off Grid Living

January 15, 2017 Cin 0

Reading is cool – hit the yard sales and start picking up books. One summer, we said the B-word, and my Dad challenged us to read the entire Encyclopedia set we had. 2 of us 7 kids finished A-Z before school started again in the fall. The others took longer.

The Girl Scout HandBook has a whole section on indoor and outdoor games that are free and fun to play.

Depending on their age, pretending to be Mommy always fun – with their own little sink an stove, play food, etc. (Boys like it as much as girls, BTW).

We spent hours in the dirt with Tonka trucks, especially the ones with the shovels…skip loader? And the dump truck. Moving parts are fun. We made roads in the dirt, lined with rocks and would earth move all day.

I grew up in the Mojave Desert of SC – we spent hours running all over the desert, catching lizards and horned toads, the occasional scorpion (none of us ever got stung…), and once in a while, a ground squirrel (Mom never let us keep them). We made swords and weapons out of sticks, and would hollow out the larger mesquite bushes and play.

When we went on “adventures” planning to be out all day…we’d fill the canteens, and pack a bag lunch. The dump was a mile away, and back before waste management, we were allowed in, if we asked politely, to go through scrap piles for treasures. We’d get home before the heat of the day, usually around 1-2 PM.

We also had a pool, but we weren’t allowed in it without adult supervision upon pain of death (seriously). This is IMPORTANT – if you have a large pool and it’s not heated, do not allow anyone to swim during the heat of the day. If there is a 30 degree difference between outside air and the water, especially children are prone to hypothermia.

However, many a summer evening – my Dad would make a pot of chili and cornbread, we’d play in the pool for hours in the evening, get out, eat some chili, and then go to bed to sleep soundly.

If you don’t want to spend a lot on a pool and you want it to last – buy an 8 foot round, 2 foot high stock tank (ours was $100 8 years ago). Then buy a propane, tankless hot water heater that hooks up to a hose. Run the regular waterhose until the stock tank is about 18 inches deep, then run the rest of the water through the hot water heater.

Advantages – fun size pool for average kids. Disadvantages – even with a cover, the pool got dirty fast, we emptied it about every 3-4 days – but then again, some 10 or so people were using it. The garden was well watered, though. :)

Oh, and the kids next door built an underground fort (that neither their parents or ours knew about). They dug a couple deep holes, with a tunnel, propped scrap plywood and 2 X 4s as a roof, covered it in dirt, and we’d crawl in there with flashlights and play Army men. It eventually collapsed, and a few months later, the Dad found it and had a freak-out…

When I think of all the stuff we did when I was a kid, it’s wonder we all survived to adulthood. The times I’m talking about – youngest kid was 5, oldest was 11 and we did all this running around the desert for a good 5 years. As all of us hit our teens, we didn’t do it any more.

Introduce Yourself • Hello from Arizona

January 15, 2017 vforgemac 0

Hey there all, you can call me Mac and I am 123 seasons old. I was going to state my age in moons but that would be a little much… 30 years though for the mathematically un-inspired. I hail from the more-mountains-than-you-thought state of AZ where the old west still survives in at least 2nd amendment terms. I am not even someone who would consider themselves a prepper but I admire those that know how. I do value self reliance and I’m a total sponge when it comes to learning new things so if the prepper bug bites me so be it! Anyway, I’m here for the knowledge and to disperse it too if I am able or explore networking possibilities. I love Jesus, fitness and ancient history. Thanks for having me :D

Edit: my current interests in regards to prepping are communications and navigation skills. :)

I saw the ultimate prepper vehicle come in here this evening. At least from what I saw of it I would say so.

It was an F550 4 X 4, with some really rugged tires. I’m sure a one of a kind, had a big box type living area built on to it, and boxes for what along the back, it was all solid black, I had to get in to sign up wish I had longer to look at it, the thing was awesome. I wonder if they live offroad or do a lot of desert running or what. That thing had to be $100k or more, it was custom, there was serious money in that it also had the front and back seats too. Maybe just some of the oil people that get their wealth from those wells from Abilene to way way out there. I can’t imagine owning something like that, wow.

Actually we don’t have any to spare, and the Clintons sold the uranium mining rights to Russia. Remember she went over there for a visit, Bill followed along and gave a couple of speeches. Bill received several million for that, then we (the Gov.) sold the mining rights to Russia for pennies. good deal all around, Russia will probably give the uranium back after they refine it…….

It’s all good in the end! The more they raise hell and make fools of themselves, the more votes they loose in the middle! And they still wonder why they lost the election! Could it have anything to do with harboring illegal aliens, killing unborn children, or giving trans genders a choice of restrooms? Swamp

With lots of the stuff he says he comes across as a complete idiot. For example, go to 6:38 on the video which I link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI9tov6A2DI

It all depends on the audience you seek and are trying to influence! I am sure he has no interest in anyone, with practical knowledge of weapons. Seriously – does the truth have anything to do with politics or how most people vote? It takes no brains or much effort to vote, all thanks to our lovely Constitution and the many mistakes of our Founding Fathers.

The bottom line is he is a billionaire with massive financial / political influence and that squeaking noise form some gun loving peons – just doesn’t matter! Or we can all hang onto Trump’s every statements about the Second and they may even be true, but have you ever seen him hunting or even with his hands dirty? Sure his son does some canned trophy hunting, but what does that have to do with the Second?

The Second will stand, but don’t be surprised with some deals on the side. Swamp

The video, it is just another waste of time, just like a preacher – who only preaches to the choir.

Are you sure these people “made” their fortunes or did they inherit them? (I have no clue, I’ve been too busy lately to be up to date on this stuff) And well, honestly? I know of quite a few stupid exceptionally wealthy people. Money doesn’t necessarily make you smart.

On the other hand, while I have a high IQ, I’m poor. So there you go. Life happens in both directions. Enough bad turns with the right timing and you suddenly find yourself flat on your arse wondering what happened.

I will say that for conservatives to be so anti big business (you know that 1 percent thing) I’m surprised you’re not nervous over this development, whether these people are “smart” or not. I can’t say that I’m too fond of the idea and as for them not being able to do worse than the past 8 yrs?? Are you serious? They could do an awful lot of damage in those positions. What about Trumps promises to tax imports? Big business imports their own goods that are made elsewhere cheaper or parts to make their goods here to keep their profits high……..now how is that going to go over with big business? (or this cabinet)

No, these ultra wealthy folks (I’m not including Ben Carson as he can’t be classified big business type) can’t be bribed with cash, but they can be bribed with power, which is what Trump just handed them.

I’m determined to give Trump a chance. But I’m going to be honest that I hope & pray we haven’t just hopped out of the pot straight into the fire.

Apparently my cover is secure, since my friend obviously doesn’t know what I think of the idiot in chief and his grimacing wife.

This is yet another stupid futile gesture of the left, but at least not as dumb as #bringbackourgirls.

My favorite duty pants are from Tru-Spec. The 24-7 series specifically. You can get them in cotton or poly blend. I wear shorts off duty from the same series. Functional, comfortable, durable, breathable. My Lt. wears the same pants and he’s got massive thighs. Definitely more snug on him than on me.
