Hello, I’m new here.

Browning the meat helps so much. A hot outdoor grill is fast. and delicious. The more maillard reaction (not burning, though) the better the taste. Raw pack has a different sort of taste. Almost like…please don’t kill me, I’m new here…a tiny bit of iron blood taste.

Another thing I just learned about weird tastes in canning meats, is to not use the chicken thighs. Save them to cook in another dish.

Hmmmmm….interesting. When I posted the links of the salt on the first link, it was priced at $1.48. Now it’s $11.95! :eek::shock:
I expect huge price swings like that on Amazon, but have never seen that before with Walmart.

Guess I should’ve bought a bunch of it before I posted the link. :'(

They appear to be exactly the same, same numbers. Likely just a change in package labeling. I would just buy the cheaper one.
