I am in Broward County, looking to meet other preppers. Florida state group doesn’t appear to be very active. Is there another place people are gathering? Thanks – ReginaStatistics: Posted by prepper1111 — Sun Nov 12, 2017 6:56 am
Sending a Welcome out to shudog357, Carver99, gardeningterry, and all the other Florida preppers. I pray you all are safe following hurricane Irma, and to those down south I hope relief comes to you swiftly!!

Well I’m happy to report much of north west Florida came through Irma without too much damage. Considering this is the second September hurricane we’ve endured in two years, I am ready for a few years without any.
The mass exodus of south Florida through the northern counties was tremendous. By the time we were given the word to evacuate there was no gas or hotel rooms available for miles and miles. Many here had no choice but to stay put. The return incursion once Irma left the area was equally tremendous. We are grateful IRMA lost most of her fight along the way up the state.
I have many friends and family around the state; mostly in the Fort Lauderdale and Tampa Bay areas. All reported in and did not have significant damage, mostly just power outages, including one tough 89 y/o family member who went 6 days without electric.
We are all praying for the many who are still without power and resources in south Florida. We’re also praying hurricane Marie fizzles out before reaching the Caribbean.
If anyone is able to provide direct assistance (food, laundry service, ice, water), to the many lineman that are working ANYWHERE in Florida, please go to “IRMA Recovery: Florida Linemen Support” Facebook group.

Looking for replacements to my BOL. I’ve been the owner and leader of a group for a few years now and now have openings for those that meet these minimum requirements as follows: Must be of the Christian faith, no felons allowed, no person addicted to alcohol or drugs of any kind, must be in good health, should live near or in region 3 of Florida. Married couples are preferred. You may ask any questions you wish and I will answer …….but I’m not interested in your “comments” about my requirements.
Now about me: I am a veteran, married and have two son’s. I will not be precise about the bol but it is in excess of 50 acres and very remote. My group size is confidential and what I will say is we are not radicals …none allowed. If you are interested then contact me with some information about you and we can get to know each other better. It will help if you are a veteran, a medical professional, and have skills that could be useful to my group. Good luck!
