Welcome from SE Arizona. Why in the WORLD would you leave Arizona for “Commiefornia”? Come back to AZ…MUCH more “prep” friendly here, PLUS we have Constitutional Carry, and if you want to get a CCW, you CAN! (Unless you’re a felon, that is.)

Check In Here California Preppers • Hello Everyone!

Just by way of intro, I am new to this forum but not to prepping. I am 56 and married with 5 children, all grown now. Washington born and raised in Oregon then moved to Arizona but currently live in California.
My family and I lived off grid for 5 years when I was 12-17 years old. I do miss the quiet simple way at times. Living through the winters without heating I learned how to “not be cold”. Sounds odd I know, but to this day I am most comfortable when the temp drops to freezing and the wind has a bite to it. As long as I’m moving I’m fine. I hope to make some connections and increase my base knowledge and skill sets. I work in the building trades and hold several certifications. Like many I became interested in prepping because I choose to be ready “just in case” of an emergency or bad political decisions.
The insatiable lifestyle is not sustainable long term. But moving our resources from the ground through your hands and into a landfill makes greedy persons rich. But it doesn’t leave any legacy to our kids or grandchildren.
