Note: Just stumbled across something that is stating ISIS is claiming responsibility for this attack. According to them, Paddock converted months ago. Reported by the Associated Press. Hmm. Possible. No evidence has been found to confirm these claims yet. However, sort of odd they’d claim responsibility if he didn’t. We’ve had other incidences in which they didn’t.

I saw a report either of him or his female roommate visited a middle eastern country. That was early this morning, well before ISIS claimed responsibility.

Guns • Re: Recommend a good conceal pistol for a female

September 9, 2017 Hiker72 0

My girlfriend went with the Ruger LCR, then got a Glock 43. She likes the Glock, but is also thinking about getting the Ruger LCP 2.

My ex went with the S&W air weight as well, and she regularly shoots the S&W M&P Shield and MP9 Compact that our sons have.

Both my ex and girlfriend have weak wrists/hand grip and said they had trouble working a semi-automatic pistol. It’s been my experience that this is generally a training issue, and both have received the needed training to remedy that.

Well, I hate to plug another survival/prepping website or forum, but http://www.survivalistboards.com/ has a pretty good section on nuclear, biological and chemical survival. A gent by the name of “WImountainMan” is a member that I have found to be knowledgeable in this area.

For what it’s worth, based on my reading/researching from there and a few other places, I believe this is what I will buy –
http://approvedgasmasks.com/survivair-optifit.htm

Along with about a half dozen filter’s to start.

Having a family with four kids under 8 makes this all seem very scary and daunting. I have slowly stock piled enough water for 2 weeks and have some other basic tools and supplies. My next step was getting some type of freeze dried food for 2 weeks. Its all a little overwhelming due to the amount of money that this could take to prepare to keep a family of six prepared and safe. I’m trying to take my time and do a little at a time but I feel like I want to go spend a thousand dollars and buy everything. This website has been helpful and I appreciate the plan people lay out to start prepping in the beginning stages.

I would concentrate on getting your pantry completely set up – canned goods will last far past the expiration date, plus with 6 family members buying in bulk is a great way to save money without LOOKING like you are “crazy” prepper. You can keep adding to your stores this way while continuing to research and setting aside money to purchase freeze dried/dehydrated food. For what it’s worth, I only buy Mountain House brand. You could buy a few pouches of them at Wal-mart’s camping section and see if the family likes it.

North Korea’s threat to lob four missiles toward Guam in mid-August coincides with longstanding plans by the U.S. and South Korea to mount annual large-scale sea, land and air exercises that have traditionally rankled Pyongyang.

Interestingly enough, there is an exercise called ‘Earth Ex 2017’ slated for August 23rd. Designed to test for large area/long term power outages –
