Terrorism & other Man made disasters • Re: EMP-Korea Concerns & Discussions

April 26, 2017 air commando 0

I usually don’t worry too much about some of the stuff I read on here, there are bad things that happen all the time and a lot of it is just plain old shitty luck. In this case though, there is a lot of information out there to make me really worry and I think the kicker being that POTUS is bringing the entire Senate to the WH. It makes me think they have credible, critical intel on what’s really going on and that the Senate as a whole is going to have to stand together on what happens next. I’m afraid that next is going to be a conventional missile barrage aimed at NK and all of those Senators are going to have to explain to their constituents why we just bombed the poo poo out of NK.

General Preparedness Discussion • Re: MARCH 2017 – What Did You do To Prep This Week/Month?

March 10, 2017 air commando 0

I did some looking on Amazon and found some really good deals on Auguson Farms #10 cans of Chicken and Rice, Creamy Potato Soup and some other items (<$11.00 each). The deals were for Prime members only but I figured at that price I could definitely try a few. The wife and I so ‘subscribe and save’ on our coffee and dog food through Amazon so I added 1 Mountain House #10 can a month and a couple of Mountain House breakfast packages. It works ok with my budget and it’s one less thing I have to think about. I figured for about $30-$35 a month I can get a #10 can and a couple of pouches on top of what we can or put away.

Terrorism & other Man made disasters • Re: They Are Playing With A Revolution

Ken,

I think that location and who you surround yourself with have a large part with being ‘woken up’, there are obviously a million other factors, values, upbringing, etc. I was stationed overseas for a long time so for me there was no such thing as prepping and the places I was stationed were all very liberal. Once I made back stateside where I could hunt and fish again, along with other things I was actually able to start prepping. The wife and I are now on our way to financial freedom by paying off our house and everything else early but I still prep in the name of saving money and providing security for her. I was also able to see the whole political landscape because of my travels both official and non-official. I’ve seen the middle east tear itself apart and knowing Europe the way I did and the way I see it now it is complete chaos. My wife who is very liberal isn’t blind to it either, she is constantly asking me if things she sees on TV are real, as in she can’t believe all the violence out there right now. We also live in St Louis (which we love) but she reads about assaults and shootings all the time and just wants to leave. That is precisely why we are paying off the house early and trying to figure out where we want to go after this.

I think there will be a lot of sporadic violence in the next few years with Trump in office but if he wins re-election I expect way worse. I think right now liberals believe that he will be out in 4 so they aren’t going to be completely awful but once they realize 8 years with him I expect to see full-blown riots. Just keep your head on a swivel and keep prepping and you’ll be alright.

That is what’s happening right now Swamp, they cried for so long that people stopped listening. Now they think if they keep crying they will get the attention again but all they are doing at this point is chasing everyone over to the other side. I know a lot of classic liberals who are moving more to the right because the left is being taken over by idiots.

Vacuum Sealing • Looking for a bag sealer, not a foodsaver

February 14, 2017 air commando 0

We have a foodsaver so I’m just looking for a a bag sealer. I seal bags now by placing them on a 2×4 and running an iron over the top of them to seal them. I usually seal them about 90% of the way and then run the foodsaver accessory tube inside to suck out all of the air and then quickly seal the last corner. This works fine but sort of a PITA to have everything out like that. I’m just looking for a good sealer that will allow me to just use my iron for my clothes and keep the lumber in the basement.

All of the comments are hilarious, just blaming the Dems for mismanagement of everything. I feel for the families and I hate for anyone to lose their home or their valuables but if it were me I would pack up what I like, get to a safe place and then hope the dam fails so I can move to another state and start fresh.

It will be interesting to hear the whole story. After all it is California and they go nuts over endangered minnows or birds nobody has seen in fifty years!

I think the area in question is mostly of earthen construction and has experienced years of extreme drought. What happens when a dried out foundation is suddenly saturated??? Will these mysteries ever end??? Swamp

Exactly what I was thinking, it’s the same thing you see every time you have a place in desert that gets a ton of water. It can’t be absorbed into the ground quickly enough so you see mudslides and flash flooding. I don’t know if this will put them back in drought conditions if they lose all of this water but I’m sure it will.

Something to be said for nature doing what she wants.

Terrorism & other Man made disasters • Re: Inauguration Protesters Plan To Destroy Property And Dis

January 17, 2017 air commando 0

Before I criticize Trump or his agenda like all of these leftists, I’m going to see what he actually does or tries to do. So far nothing I’ve seen or read as far as his agenda is concerned would be considered racist or fascist. Securing a border, cutting taxes, creating jobs, and trying to identify terrorists doesn’t sound like the end of the world. I’m actually off that day so I’m going to sit at the house and watch the chaos on TV and online. If you go to the inauguration be safe, I think the biggest thing you have to worry about is a stampede. If something happens and you can find a place to hunker down do that as opposed to trying to run with the crowd and possibly getting run over and trampled.
