The far east has been killing each other for thousands of years, when me, you, are kids and grandkids are dead and gone, they’ll still be killing each other along with the innocent men, women and children of the world.

The opioid addiction of the U.S. kills more people than car accidents, terroists, shootings, etc., then anything else and we can’t even get a handle on that, let alone the far east.

First Aid & Medicine • Re: Anti-Parasitic Remedies

I have also been looking into more natural and/or alternative remedies. There’s just so much information out there that it’ll take me forever to sort it all out! However, when looking at this thread, I automatically thought of diatomaceous earth. I just got a book that explains all about DE that I am enjoying right now. I also bought some food grade DE. I was surprised that many people take it on a regular basis to flush their body of unwanted parasites/bugs. I originally bought it to get rid of bugs…..but now I’m glad I have it just in case I should ever need it for other things. I will keep my book right next to my DE that I have stored. I can more easily store DE (with unlimited shelf life) than I can store a variety of anti-parasitic meds for myself and my animals and not have to worry about side effects. Plus, it has so many other wonderful uses. I think it is so versatile that it’s very much worth having around.

lol…Right?

I loved that book BTW…A classic that new generations in 9th grade should be assigned as mandatory curriculum in Eng. Lit..

I have no doubt though that most schools would spin it though.

On a more cynical note, what’s the possibility that much of this is just more political theater to justify a new arms race and massive increases in military spending?

With a government that can record all our phone and Internet chat, I would hope they’d actually know if the 2 NORK satellites had EMP nukes on board. If they were a true threat, with them flying over our airspace every hour and a half, it should be possible to bring them both down while they’re flying over somewhere else, like an ocean.

Apologies if this has been covered already, but we’ve done this before on our own satellites and not just the U.S. has worked this angle:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solwind
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Burnt_Frost
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-satellite_weapon

A small localized EMP from an anti-satellite missile detonated near each satellite could perhaps fry these without generating lots of space debris that would potentially damage many other satellites in orbit with a direct hit.

Six years before 9/11 in 1995 there was the Oklahoma City Bombing which although dwarfed by 9/11 still made a huge impact. 168 people were killed, some of them babies, and hundreds more were injured. It was talked about all throughout the country and it is still talked about from time to time to this very day. So I would say the magnitude of the impact is what influences it the most. 168 people were killed and while that’s much less than the thousands killed in 9/11 its still enough to make a big impact. That’s more people killed than in any mass shooting including the Orlando nightclub shooting, its more than the bombing in the Boston marathon or in Manchester or any of these more recent bombings in the middle east. The only terrorist attack I can think of that has more casualties is 9/11 so I would say magnitude is what affects impact the most.

Primer..read my post on your other post.
Start over..destroy the plants and anything they touched.

If they stopped growing?? They have the wilt. Sorry.
I had four tomato plants, beautiful, healthy.
2 have been discarded already when they started to get the arthritis look on the limbs and stopped growing..they were in contaminated soil (from 2013)and the other two bought with them have blooms, little green tomatoes, and are beautiful.

Short answer…Verticillium Wilt.
I have had it since 2013 and finally found a way to have tomatoes.
I (1)destroyed my lumber that was contaminated, (2)used concrete blocks now, and (3)destroyed old soil, (4)spray new soil with Actinovate because everything that fungus touched is contaminated.
I even have two spots around the back yard next to the raised bed that have to have resistant plants, like holly ($3 from walmart), as I have killed a new butterfly bush, and almost killed a transplanted ornamental peach before I recognized the contamination in those spots, but saved it and it’s growing in a new spot.
If you have questions, private message me. You didn’t do anything wrong..the seed could have been contaminated or the soil or who knows??
Mine happened from the tomato plant bought from a grower here, as my two neighbors got the wilt and we all used that grower.

My new rule?? I keep bought plants on the porch for two weeks before putting them in my new soil, new raised bed.
My experience???????? No one will understand what you describe until they have it; don’t even bother.

Do you have a consumer reports membership?

If not, I pay monthly….List the things important to you specifically you want and I’ll be glad to break them down for you there….IMHO it is one of the most reliable resources out there for car purchases.

I’d need a list of importance in order for things like—reliability, luxury, towing capacity, safety, etc….

Again, I’d be happy to help there if you want…..here or in PM….no bother for me as I do this for all my friends.

Again, they’ll be more somewhere…soon. This is their recruiting season and attacks ramp up during Ramadan worldwide.

Those that rely on fear, attach with impunity on the times of celebration and areas that will have the most significant impact for the shocking nature of the attack…No one should be surprised in the least. They proved their nature over and over…911, the concert full of little girls, etc….

Look at our own news for Christ sake….You haven’t heard a peep about the concert blast in about 5 days now…Its a week old for Christ sake involving a target of children!!!….Desensitization is inevitable.

I mean seriously, can ANYONE tell me they’d actually be surprised if there was an attack with a MASSIVE impact here in the US tomorrow or within a year from now? It would impact you, sure. But would you actually be surprised? We do an amazing job but we will not be able to stop them all.

Even the amount it would impact you would depend on your proximity to the effects of the attack. 911 was shocking….Boston not as much but still had impact…San Bernardino, in my own backyard, not at all…

Please don’t get me wrong as I’m just trying to talk logically here. The loss of a single life in these is tragic and makes my blood boil, but what can I/you/us do other than watch, report, carry, and be ready while still going about our daily lives and living how we want to and not in fear?

Desensitization ??? This is just life now….It isn’t going to stop in our lifetimes.
